Dance

I dance and teach fusion in Paris.
I love working on improving technique, creative research on movement and connection in the dance.

For me, partnered dancing means emotionnally connect myself to the musig and to my partners, and express myself creatively with the body.

Classes and workshops

Starting September 2025, I’ll give weekly classes of fusion dancing with Rolando Cruz.

I will also organize workshops during week-ends.

I encourage learning both roles (follower/leader) and role rotation (switch, co-guidage).

Practical infos can be found on Danse Fusion Paris.

My background

I practiced rythmic gymnastics, with elements of ballet and then some contemporary dance practice. I also have an experience in martial arts (Tai chi de combat, Lam Son, Aïkido, Kendo).

I first danced bal folk for a long time, and deepened the work on musicality and connection in partnered dances, in particular thanks to the classes of Ophélie et Pierre from Folklow me, Koen Dhondt and Claire Favillier). Without knowing it, I started to do fusion by combining improvised movements. Then I did some mambo (portorican salsa) for some time, before discovering the neo tango and the fusion dancing scene, which are two dances I particularly enjoy as of today.

I’m always eager to discover new scenes, I also dance blues, forró and these days I’m learning lindy hop. Bachata, West Coast swing and Brazilian zouk are not too far. I practice all types of roles (leader/follower/switch/co-guidage).

As I practise multiple dances and have an experience in martial arts, I’m always making links between body technique, for instance in regards of biomechanics. I attended workshops of tango/folk co-lead by Laure Fourest and biomechanics classes for tango from Tango Forge which expanded my horizon in this field. My training in Gestalt-therapy also informs my work about modalities of contact with other and with the environnement around me when dancing.

As a multi-instrumentist musician, and a drummer, I particularly enjoy working with rythm and I am constantly looking into enhancing my vocabulary for musical expression through the body.

What is fusion ?

We could introduce fusion dancing in the following way : partners with very diverse social dance experience (or solo dancing) meet each other to improvise and dance together on music for various styles. And we see what happens!

“Fusion” can refer to various dance styles, but here we talk specifically about a partenered social dance.

In fusion, partners move together on the same music, whatever their dancing background (blues, tango, salsa, Brazilian zouk, contact improv, lindy hop, kizomba, West Coast swing, blak folk, bachata, forró, etc.). It is a danse for improvising, getting to know the other and mixing stylesall the while connecting with your partner. All music styles can be danced.
